Class 1: Hardwood Flooring Inspector Course + Bonus NALFA-Approved Laminate Class
Dates: March 8-9, 2027
Includes: Hardwood (Solid & Engineered) – Intro to Wood Anatomy – Wood Milling/Saw Cuts – Wood Drying – Wood Grading Overview – Engineered Flooring Veneers – Finishes – Jobsite Conditions – Installation Methods – Understanding & Accessing Problems – Maintenance – Inspection Techniques – Lab Testing.
This class will offer ITS Hardwood and Laminate Certifications.

Class 2: Subfloor/Substrate Inspection Class
Date: March 10, 2027
Includes: Subfloor/substrate types & Concerns, and moisture testing (including proper use of meters and limitations) to take your inspection and consulting skills to the next level. This will be our inaugural class and includes new full certification!
Note: This new certification will be required for all those who wish to attain ITS Inspection Certification. Those who have already attained ITS Inspection Certification in specific flooring systems may be exempt from this, but are encouraged to attend. ITS is constantly updating, adding to, and enhancing our training classes.

Class 3: Basic Resilient (LVT/LVP) & Residential Sheet Vinyl Inspector Course with introduction to Commercial Resilient Inspections
Dates: March 11-12, 2027
Includes: Various LVT/LVP & Residential Sheet Vinyl Products – Site Conditions – Installation Methods & Procedures – Adhesives – Breakdown & Exploration of Issues/Concerns related to Manufacturing, Installation, & Consumer/Site-Related Incidents – Procedures & Techniques to Evaluate Problems Accurately.
This class will offer ITS LVT/LVP and Residential Certification

This is an essential class for professional flooring inspectors designed to help you communicate your findings with clarity, integrity, and precision. In this course, you will learn how to craft concise, fact-based, and unbiased documentation that represents the floor rather than just the commissioning party.
It will take you through the seven critical sections of a professional report—from the Statement of Concern and Claim History to the final Conclusion supported by Testing and Applied Industry Standards.
You will also learn how to minimize your personal liability by eliminating opinions, managing hearsay, and avoiding conflicts of interest. Because you are “only as good as your last report”

*Note: Those already certified through ITS, IFCII, CFIU, IICRC, NWFA, or members of NICFI or NFCA qualify for a special rate of $175.
NALFA requires inspectors who are recognized (i.e. “approved”) by them to attend a bi-annual (every two years) update class. Inspector Training Services (ITS) will offer a virtual update class for those currently laminate-certified (either through ITS or another NALFA-approved certification agency).

In highest demand is Resilient/LVT class, but there is also demand for hour hardwood/laminate class, and growing interest for another carpet/commercial carpet class which we have not done for a couple years.
